FC Karabakh won PAOK in Thessaloniki with the score 1: 0 and markedly improved its chances for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani football to reach the 1/16 finals of the Europa League.
The only goal in the 69th minute was scored by the substitute midfielder of Karabakh Michel. After receiving the ball in front of the penalty area, he kicked an irresistible blow to the gates of the hosts.
Two weeks ago, Karabakh also won PAOK with the score 2: 0.
In the other match in Group J Italian Fiorentina confidently beat Czech Slovan 3: 0. After 4 games the group leader is Fiorentina with 10 points, followed by Karabakh with 7 points. PAOK takes the third step with 4 points. The last in the group standings is Slovan with just one point.

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
