Baku / 19.09.16 / Turan: The Azerbaijan Customs authorities stopped the transportation through its territory 100 kg of heroin from Afghanistan, stated the head of the Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev, receiving on Monday his Afghan counterpart Ahmad Rashad Popali.
According to the press service of the customs authorities, the Afghan customs arrived in Baku to participate in the international seminar organized by the European Office of the World Customs Organization. "Only over the first eight months of this year, we have identified and detained 1ton 100 kg of heroin produced in Afghanistan. Drug couriers tried to transport that amount of drugs via Azerbaijan," Aliyev said. During the conversation the parties discussed the issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation. -05D-
