Iranian Drug Courier Killed at Border
Baku / 23.04.20 / Turan: On April 22, near the village of Dashkend in the Yardimli region, Azerbaijani border guards shot and killed an Iranian drug courier.
According to the press service of the State Border Service, border guards recorded a violation of the border by three people who ignored the demand to stop. Fire was opened and one of the intruders wounded, and the other two ran back.
The wounded man was taken to the Jalilabad hospital, but he could not be saved.
Two packs of marijuana with a total weight of two kg and a double-barreled hunting rifle and six rounds were discovered at the site.
In connection with the incident, Iranian border guards were invited to the site. The name of the deceased is not reported. -05D-
