Kanal3: It`s a lot of pressure on media freedom
Internet TV Kanal13 (www.kanal13.tv) issued a statement in connection with the detention of Teymur Kerimov, employee of the department of news media organizations on 24 November. According to the statement, the journalist was detained on November 24 at around 15:30 by the police in Barda region during the preparation of reporting in relation to citizens' complaints. On the way to Barda District Police Department employees of this structure insulted and put physical pressure on the journalist. In the district department against forwarded a false accusation against Kerimov about the alleged use of force during the conduct of surveys, and filed a lawsuit. In addition, the journalist’s camera was taken away, and all records, including the use of pictures of violence against him were deleted. Despite a few hours later Kerimov was released, he was warned that he can be summoned again in connection with the criminal case. Kanal13 as an independent media expressed deep regret over the incident and described it as a serious pressure on media freedom. Kanal13 states that in its air does not take any political sides. Kanal13 is a media structure paying attention to the problems of different social layers of the population, as well as providing the position of different political groups and NGOs. "We are guided by the principles of journalistic ethics and impartiality of the media, we provide Azerbaijani internet users professional programs covering free political debate, economic and social problems. Kanal13 condemned the fabricated charges against the journalist , limiting their professional activities by illegal means, and calls on the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of the Interior to conduct a fair investigation into the incident with a journalist Kerimov, and to restore his rights. -06D--

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
