Khadija Ismailova summoned to prosecutor"s office
The investigative journalist, Khadija Ismayilova, has been called to the Investigative Department for Serious Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office as a witness.
Today she was called by a representative of the department and told that due to the information spread on Facebook on February 17, a criminal case was filed under Article 284 (disclosure of state secrets).
Ismayilova said that, “she would go to the prosecutor's office only after receiving the formal subpoena”. She noted that, “the prosecution had not investigated illegal actions against her, including interference with her privacy and threats”.
Note that ,Ismayilova, published a memo from an MNS employee to the management of this ministry dated 2011, which reported on the recruitment of an opposition activist, who in exchange for a cash payment in the amount of 600 manats was ready to inform the security services on the activities within the opposition and to make a split in its ranks.
If this document is authentic, it is evidence of illegal activities of the intelligence agencies that perform tasks of political spying and subversion of the opposition.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the Attorney General confirmed the investigation of the case in connection with the publication of documents containing state or official secrets. -16 06D-
