Today a lawyer Shahla Humbatova was not allowed to meet her client, a blogger Khalid Khanlarov held in detention center in the Binagadi district of the capital. Despite the fact that Khanlarov was arrested on 23 January the lawyer could meet with him only yesterday. After the meeting, the lawyer prepared an appeal against the court's decision on arrest Khanlarov for 25 days of administrative arrest on charges of not subordinate police. The real reason for his arrest is the publication of critical articles against the authorities.
Today the lawyer was going to discuss the complaint with his client. However Humbatova waited in the detention center for two hours, but was not allowed to meet with Khanlarov. The refusal was for not allowing the meeting was "disinfection" works.
Khanlarov is a 3rd year student of the university "Caucasus". For to day twelve journalists and bloggers are kept in jail on criminal charges.-05B-
