Local activists detained in Gabala region
On April 1 the police of the Gabala region arrested three activists of civil society: Tehran Musayev, Aydin Aliyev and Siyavush Yaralyev. All three are accused of participating in the protest on March 25, told Turan by local sources.
Later in the afternoon they were released, demanding to come tomorrow. It is expected, that the activists will be brought to administrative liability under Article 298 of the Administrative Code. The article suggests either a fine or 15 days, or imprisonment.
On March 25 the employees of the "Azeri Trans" company in Gabala "Azeri Trans" held a protest, demanding to be paid the wage of five month, to reduce the working day from 12 to 8 hours as well as to sign labor contract. However, the authorities ignored those demands. -03D04-
