Main Thoroughfares of Baku to Be Closed on Monday Afternoon
Baku Traffic Police Office reported that on Monday from 16:30 to 24:00 traffic on the main highways of the capital will be closed.
These restrictions are imposed in connection with the rehearsal of the opening of the European Games.
In particular, traffic will be limited on all the streets intersecting Oilers Avenue, Heydar Aliyev Avenue (up to the Sabunchu Bridge), a 14-km area of Salyan Highway and Parliament Avenue from the MOE building.
Traffic will also be closed on the streets Yusif Safarov, Uzeyir Hajibekov, Zarifa Aliyeva, Niyazi, Mehdi Huseyn and Lermontov and Avenue Azadlyg.
Traffic on the streets adjacent to the sports facilities of the European Games is also limited.
Drivers are encouraged to use detours (Hovsan highway, from Lokbatan on the ring road and from the 20th Segment through Badamdar). -02D-
