General Director of Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations Arrived in Baku
The head of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization Jose Graziano da Silva arrived in Azerbaijan. On Sunday, he was received by President Ilham Aliyev.
During the meeting, Graziano da Silva said that his organization seeks to ensure that the level of poverty in the world amounted to less than 5%. According to him, Azerbaijan is one of the 29 countries that have achieved this.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the FAO, the Head of State's website said.
As it became known to Turan, on Monday at 16:00 da Silva will hold a press conference on the results of his visit to Baku. -02D-

On Thursday, the trial in the case of economist Fazil Gasimov continued at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes. During the session, the indictment was read out. However, before the prosecutor's statement, Gasimov protested, claiming that he was innocent and that the criminal case against him should be dismissed.
