Major of border guards killed in a shootout on the border with Iran
Yesterday about 19.30 on the territory of the Lankaran frontier guard team at curbing illegal border crossings, there was an armed incident. As a result, one border guard was killed and two were wounded. This is stated in the report by the State Border Service.
According to the same source, the state of the wounded is satisfactory. Details of the incident are not reported and it is unclear who crossed the border and from which side.
Military prosecutors are investigating, but also would not disclose details.
