Martyrs continue to demand compensation (PHOTO)
Baku / 30.10.18 / Turan: About 100 people gathered once again today in front of the presidential administration, demanding the payment of a one-time allowance to family members of those killed during the hostilities in defense of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The representative of the families of martyrs Sevinj Guluzade said that the parliament refused to solve this problem, so people came here. She noted that every time different officials accept them from the presidential administration, make promises, but the problem is not solved. In the spring of this year, the President of Azerbaijan signed a decree on the payment of one-time compensation to the families of persons killed or missing in action in defense of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in 1991-97 in the amount of 11 thousand manat. Compensation began on October 9. However, many families were denied compensation on the pretext that they received funds in the past. In addition, compensation is not paid to the dead police officers, but only to servicemen of the national army and internal troops. Citizens' complaints to state authorities are not considered. -03H06--
