Masked man tried to enter the house of journalist P.Hashimli
Today at about 16:00 a young man in a mask tried to enter the home of the detained journalist Parviz Hashimli . The man tried to open the door lock and enter inside, Turan was told by the journalist’s wife, Ilaha.
" Hearing the noise , I went to the door and looked through the peephole;I saw a man in a mask.
I asked who he was and what he wanted. After that, the masked man fled, and I immediately called the police," said the wife.
The representatives of the 29th police department of Binagadi district came to the journalist’s home, and asked questions. Ilaha Hashimli and her infant daughter had a stress of fear.
* An employee of the "Bizim Yol" newspaper, and the head of the moderator.az website, Parviz Hashimli, was arrested on September 17 on charges of smuggling and illegal possession of weapons. Journalist denies allegations and believes that he is being persecuted for political reasons. --03B06-
