Mechanism against Violence against Children Developed
Baku/11.03.21/Turan: Mechanisms have been developed to identify, register and prevent cases of violence against students in schools.
Education Minister Emin Amrullayev wrote about this on his Facebook page.
He noted that along with the academic success of students, their psychological health and safety is important.
According to the minister, not only education is of great importance, but also the correct attitude towards students in family relations, as well as at school.
Amrullayev pointed to the need to combat bullying (harassment) at school, to correctly reflect the sensitive moments associated with adolescents in traditional and social media.
He said that 4,000 teachers and 2,000 school leaders received bullying trainings.
In 2020, the Schoolchildren's Friend project was implemented in 226 schools for 400 thousand students.
About 800 psychologists conducted psychology tests.
With the support of UNICEF, 300 psychologists organized trainings in the frontline areas.
The minister's statement was made against the backdrop of the double suicide of two girls aged 16-17 in the village of Lokbatan.
Since the beginning of the year, several more facts of girls' suicide have been recorded. -05D06-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
