The newspaper "Azerbaijan" writes about the official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Italy. Diplomatic relations between the two countries are more than 25 years old, Italy is the number one trade partner of Azerbaijan. Last year, trade between countries amounted to 6 billion dollars. Italy consumes 17% of Azerbaijan’s oil. During the visit, 28 documents were signed, among which the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership. The author recalls that 2020 is declared the year of Azerbaijan in Italy. During the meetings, the Karabakh problem was also discussed.

Experts believe that in the future this will affect the population. If in 2014-2016 the average age of men entering into marriage was 28.8 years, then in 2018 it increased to 29 years. As for girls, if in 2014-2016 the average age at marriage was 24.1, then in 2018 it was 24.3.

The expert believes that if the teachers health allows, then the contract with them should be extended by the school after this age. At present, the term of a teacher’s work may be extended if the relevant executive authority agrees. This situation creates the conditions for corruption.

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
