The export-import trade of Azerbaijan, problems in passenger transportation, and the "anti-dollar" efforts of several countries are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the trade turnover of the country with 170 foreign countries. Of these, 101 are for exports, and 162 are for imports.
In January-July of this year, the volume of trade amounted to 17.4 billion dollars, of which 11.6 billion dollars fell to exports, and 5.7 billion dollars to imports.
In comparison with the same period last year, 37.3% more products were exported, and 32.2% were imported.
85% of foreign trade operations covered 20 countries, including Italy, Turkey and Russia.
The website Modern.az writes about a difficult situation with traffic accidents and about problems with drivers of passenger buses, which cause casualties.
MP Tahir Kerimli believes that those responsible for passenger traffic should restore order in this area, since the number of accidents in the country is growing every day.
Bus drivers drive as they like; they do not follow the rules and stop where they wish, not taking into account the traffic flow.
The number of cars in the country is approaching one and a half million.
The website Musavat.com comments on the Russian anti-dollar law and its impact on Azerbaijan. Several states are preparing measures to abandon the use of the dollar.
Russia intends to adopt an anti-dollar law in the next two weeks. However, experts consider such a decision not serious, since the refusal mechanism has not been worked out and in trade transactions between countries there will be problems with the conversion of the national currency.
