The number of victims of the October 8 explosion in a market in Bilajari has reached two people. Recall that one person died at the scene.
The second one died a few hours later in the hospital, the Ministry of Health hotline told Turan.
In turn, the doctor in charge of the burn unit of the city hospital N 5 Iskender Iskenderov told Turan that they received 6 victims placed in intensive care with burns of 2-3 degrees. There is no threat to their lives.
However, according to the Interior Ministry, the explosion occurred around 18.00 as a result of a gas leak in the cold storage of the store Army, which is on the 1st floor of a 16-storey residential building.
The room was attached to the building.
As a result of the explosion, a resident of the Guba district Ehtiram Amrahov died on the spot, remaining under the rubble. Eight people were injured, including two women, and were hospitalized.

The Emergency Situations Ministry (MES) confirmed the death of one person in an explosion in Bilajari, Baku.
Another five victims were transferred by MES rescue brigades to ambulances, the official report by the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry says.
According to the same source, the explosion occurred "in the illegal building used as a warehouse adjacent to a high-rise building."
Currently ongoing are measures to eliminate the consequences of the accident. The ministry said it would provide additional information.
