Ministry of Communications Did Not Have Alternative Communication Option (UPDATED)
Two hours after the afternoon fire in the company Delta Telecom established by the Ministry of Communications, the Internet in the country has been restored only partially.
According to the Ministry, the fire has caused serious damage, destroying more than 30% of the equipment of the company. The fire was extinguished by the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency in the evening. Where it happened or what sort of equipment was damaged is not clear.
Measures are being taken to create alternative channels of communication and to restore the Internet in Azerbaijan.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is clear that the Ministry of Communications did not have a backup option in case of an accident. -16D-

The Internet has actually disappeared in Azerbaijan after 15:00. Disabling the virtual network was due to the fault of the national operator of the international communication channel, state monopoly Delta Telecom.
Unofficially, the fault was caused by the fire in the operator’s server. -0-
