Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained a wanted by Interpol citizen of Azerbaijan

 

Tbilisi/07.11.12/Turan-BSPRESS: Staff Chief of the Adjara Management Department patrol police in the Georgian-Turkish border detained the Azerbaijani citizen Zemfira Ismailova sought by the Azerbaijani branch of Interpol on charges of trafficking, said the Interior Ministry on November 6

"The detention took place in Sarpy when Ismailova was passing immigration control. Ismailova was going to cross the border from Turkey to Georgia," said the statement.

Currently, representatives of Georgian law enforcement bodies, together with their colleagues from Azerbaijan carry out the necessary procedures for the extradition of the accused. -0-
