Ministry of Taxes on taxation of traders in the "Bina" shopping center
Entrepreneurs working in shopping centers "Bina" and "Sadarak" must directly pay taxes to the state budget, and therefore cash registered are being set in the stores in shopping centers.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the First Deputy Minister of Taxes, Natig Amirov, said that some entrepreneurs in these markets do not understand that taxes are included in the rent they pay the owners of shopping centers. According to Amirov, last year the representatives of the Ministry of Taxes had a special meeting with the owners of shopping centers and notified them that during a year they must settle the issues with the payment of taxes. He condemned the owners of shopping centers for not explaining it the entrepreneurs. He also said that cash registers will be set in 2013 in all stores of the shopping centers.
Installation of cash registers, and simultaneous increase often rent caused dissatisfaction among traders of "Bina" shopping center.
On January 19 protesting against these measures a group of businessmen blocked the main road Baku-Astara. The rally was dispersed with tear gas; 10 of its members have been prosecuted, and 30 more were punished administratively.—06D--
