Minority representatives meet with diplomats from Western countries
Baku/05.03.14/Turan : Public Alliance Nefes, which includes representatives of sexual minorities, met with diplomats from Norway, Britain, France, Switzerland, the U.S. and EU , working in Baku.
According to the press release of the alliance directed to Turan, the head of the alliance Javid Nabiyev raised the issue of compliance of the country's legislation with international norms. He also talked about the problems with the registration of the non-governmental organization,
In the light of the forthcoming presidency of Azerbaijan in the Committee of Ministers , Nabiyev said noted the need to discuss the provisions of sex minorities in Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe. He also asked the Western diplomat to facilitate the registration of the Alliance in the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan. -16D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
