More than 5 kg of opium found in car from Iran
Baku/31.03.22/Turan: Customs officers prevented the smuggling of more than 5 kg of opium through Nakhchivan to Europe. The drugs were found in the car while driving through the Shahtahty checkpoint in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the message of the Customs Committee.
During the inspection of a Mercedes car driven by an Iranian citizen, 5 kilograms 180 grams of opium was found in the trunk of the trailer.
A lawsuit has been filed under the Article 206.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (drug smuggling). Checkpoint Shahtahty borders with Iran. The car followed from Iran through Nakhchivan to Turkey and further to Germany. -05D06-
