Mosque "Ashurbekov" is closed for repairs
The community of the Mosque “Ashurbek” in Icheri Sheher, known also as the "Lezgi Mosque" is to notify the congregation on the closure for repair on July 26, according to Faig Mustafa, the representative of the mosque. He said that for some reason they received a warning from the Sabail District Police Department, but not the executive power. Mustafa said that "repair" is only an excuse to close the mosque. "There was not need in repair. Mosque is in the normal state, at least, inside, and we even have the appropriate document; and the outside of the mosque could be repaid without closing it," Mustafa said.
According to him, even if the mosque is closed for repairs, there should be a document informing the community on the time of repairs and when the mosque will reopen.
"When we asked where we will be able to perform the rites, we were to appeal to a structure," said Mustafa. In the mosque "Ashurbek" prayed Sunni of Salafi persuasion. -06D-
