Baku / 14.11.18 / Turan: A single-story private house in the village of Gushchu, Dashkesan district, caught fire the day before. The mother and her four children became victims of the fire, the Emergencies Ministry said in a statement.
After extinguishing the fire that covered an area of 150 square meters, the bodies of Sevinj Tagiyeva (born in 1990) and her children Aygun (born in 2010), Sakit (born in 2012) and Sadig (born in 2017), as well as Gunel Edilkhanova (born in 2007) were found, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The cause of the fire has not been established, and the investigation is underway. -05D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
