Mudflows Cause Damage in Agsu

The heavy rains of recent days have caused mudflows in the mountainous and foothill regions of the country. The most significant damage was caused to the Agsu region, where mudflows destroyed riverbank dams in the villages Mashadganly and Agalarbeyli, as well as in the very town Agsu.

As reported by the MOE, mudflows flooded the mountain village Kalva, interrupting its communication with the rest of the region.

In addition, heavy rains caused landslides in various mountain areas of several districts.

Measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster. -05D-
