Baku / 03.06.18 / Turan: Mudflows caused by a rainfall destroyed the automobile bridge over the Goychay river on the evening of June 2. As a result, the automobile communication on the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway has stopped. In connection with the threat of collapse of the bridge, traffic on this route had been suspended already in the daytime. The drivers have to use the alternative road Goychay-Ujar-Kurdamir-Baku.
Before the collapse of the motor bridge, the water washed away a pedestrian crossing, the crossing of which had been suspended in advance.
The transport communication of 15 villages of the Goychay district with the district center has been interrupted. Orchards and arable lands are also flooded in the area. -06D--
