Musavat Activist Interrogated by Police Because of Publications in Social Networks
Baku / 02.11.18 / Turan: A member of the Board of the Musavat Party, Yadigar Sadygly, was summoned to the Lankaran district police station on November 1. There, the oppositionist was interrogated about his activity on social networks and criticism of the authorities. The conversation was led by the deputy head of the district department Faig Ilyasov.
Sadygly told Turan that he had previously been called to the police and made verbal warnings in connection with his publications in social networks.
In 2013, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison on charges of hooliganism. However, Sadygly and his party colleagues declared political motives for the persecution. Amnesty International has recognized him as a "prisoner of conscience."
In March 2016, Sadigov was pardoned. -06D-
