Neftchilar Avenue closed for indefinite term
City authorities have prepared another "surprise" for the inhabitants of the capital. From July 14, for an indefinite period, they will close the central thoroughfare of the capital – Neftchilar Avenue.
Turan was told by the Baku Office of Traffic Police that the area from Azneft Square to Azadlig Square will be repaired and reconstructed.
With regard to transportation, the traffic must divert to "alternative" routes. However, the fact is that Neftchilar Avenue does not have an alternative route, except by sea.
Thus, within a few weeks, hundreds of thousands of people will have to feel all the "charms of beautification" of the seaside boulevard. Closing of a main roadway means many kilometers of traffic jams and delays of a large number of people in the capital, as virtually all government buildings, business centers and entertainment venues are located in the city center. -03B-
