Fire Destroyed One of Largest Markets for Building Materials and Equipment
Baku / 10.12.19 / Turan: The fire that broke out early in the morning of December 10 at the EuroHome building materials market in the Binagadi district destroyed it.
Despite the fact that significant firefighting forces and the rescue services of the Ministry of Emergencies were involved in the fight against the fire, several thousand square meters of territory were covered by the fire. It was not possible to extinguish the fire quickly even with the involvement of the Ministry of Emergencies helicopter, which extinguished the fire by dumping several tons of water from the air.
Ambulances arrived at the scene. It is still unknown about the victims. Representatives of the Ministry of Emergencies and owners of objects on the market did not make statements for the press.
However, it is now clear that enormous material damage has been done, which in its scale can exceed the damage from a fire a year ago in the Diglas shopping center in the Khatai district of the capital.
Due to the fire, the Baku-Sumgait road was closed. -05B-
