Tale Bağırzadə
One of the Islamists' hunger strikers was hospitalized
Baku/09.06.22/Turan: The convicted leader of the Muslim Unity Movement (MUM) Tale Bagirzade continues his hunger strike in the Gobustan prison for the 7th day. As a sign of solidarity with him, a number of other MUM members and believers also joined the action. They protest against the use of torture by the police and blasphemy by law enforcement officers (insulting Allah).
On May 23, at a press conference, two religious activists, who were detained on May 20 near the building of the Baku Serious CRimes Court, announced the torture of the security forces and their insult to Allah at a press conference.
As a result of the hunger strike, the health of Jabbar Jabbarov, deteriorated sharply, he began to vomit blood and was hospitalized in a prison hospital.
In addition to Bagirzade, members of the organization Abbas Hussein, Jahad Babakishizade, Seyfaddin Shirvanov, Firudin Zeynalov convicted in the Ganja case and journalist Polad Aslanov continue the hunger strike, MUM told Turan.
The Penitentiary Service did not comment on reports of a hunger strike, only confirming the transfer of Jabbarov to the Medical Institution.—06B-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
