Orthodox Christians in Azerbaijan celebrate Christmas
Holiday services are taking place in the Orthodox churches of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Christmas. President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the believers.
"I congratulate you and the entire Christian community of Azerbaijan on the holy Christmas, and convey my best wishes," says the message.
Christmas services are held in three churches in the capital - Myrrhbearers Cathedral, the church of the Archangel Michael in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin, the Baku Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church told Turan. -02D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
