Pashazade calls on Karekin II to affect the Armenian authorities
Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO), Sheykhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade called on the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, to influence the Armenian authorities to withdraw troops from Azerbaijani territories, and take a constructive position in the peace talks. This is stated in the respond letter of Pashazade to Karekin II, released on August 11. Earlier Armenian religious leader called on Sheikh to contribute to de-escalate the situation at the front, heightened in late July.
In his reply sheikh said that the shelling and sabotage actions take place in the Azerbaijani lands. "As a result of violations of ceasefire the Armenian troops the Azerbaijani soldiers and civilians are killed and wounded . With a heavy heart we inform you that in the last days the Armenian soldiers seriously injured even three children in the border villages of Azerbaijan," stated in message. According to Pashazade, it is necessary to stop quickly not only such provocations, but in general, a long war and territorial conflict.
"The people of Azerbaijan unequivocally is in favor of the restoration of peace and good-neighborly relations and international law in the region. To do this, Armenia should withdraw its troops from the occupied Azerbaijani territories, refugees and internally displaced persons should return to their homes, "- said in the letter.
Sheikh regretted that peaceful appeals of the Azerbaijani state and the public have not been still in Armenia. In contrast, the Armenian forces not only continue the occupation, but also systematically violate the ceasefire, kill civilians, the letter reads.—1606D-

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property.
