Placing the participants of the European games in the "Athletes village" to be held June 12-28 has already begun. The town for athletes is a gated complex of new buildings in the Heydar Aliyev Avenue near the metro station "Koroglu". Today, local journalists were invited to get acquainted with this complex, which has housed the athletes from several countries.
It inludes 13 buildings from 10 to 15 floors.
On each floor there are 3-5 apartments, ranging from 90 to 160 square meters. Each apartment provides accommodation for 6-10 athletes. The building has all the security measures.
For recreation, there are seven leisure centers, four of them will function day and night.
The "Athletes village" has also a laundry and three dining rooms.

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
