Plane Crashed in Konya Has No Relation to Azerbaijan - Defense Ministry
March 5 in the course of the Turkish and Azerbaijan Air Force joint exercise near the city of Konya, a training aircraft of the Turkish Air Force crashed. This was announced by the agency Doğan (DHA) today.
According to the same source, the accident with F-4 happened at 9:50. Both pilots were killed.
The press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan told Turan that this information is not completely accurate, as the crashed plane had a training flight and was not party to the joint exercises TURAZ Shahini 2015.
Air Force representatives of Azerbaijan at full strength continue to participate in this event and there are no problems, the press service said.
Recall that Azerbaijan is represented at the exercises with hundreds of military and technical personnel. The exercises will last for a month. The Azerbaijanis fly and serve six fighters and attack aircraft, transport aircraft and several military helicopters. -16D-
