Plastic Christmas tree in Park Bulvar
Baku / 06.12.17 / Turan: The US Embassy and its partners from the International Rotary Club in Baku, environmental organizations, the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan and others built a Christmas tree from plastic bottles in the Park Bulvar Shopping Center.
The US Embassy in Baku said that the action is intended to raise public awareness about the possibilities of recycling and consumption of plastic. "Reuse" will make it possible to clearly see how the new products can be created from discarded materials. Christmas tree will be shown until December 10 - winter bazaars Rotary Clubs.
In 2015, the world produced more than 322 million tons of plastic. This figure is growing every year. "This is the main danger to the environment. It is necessary to use the plastic again, and to reduce its production and recycle," the embassy said. -03D-
