Polad Aslanov's appeal hearing postponed to 24 February
Baku/03.02.22/Turan: The appeal of Polad Aslanov appointed to the Supreme Court today was not heard. According to the Supreme Court, the reason was the "absence of the presiding judge for good reason".
The hearing was postponed to February 24.
*Polad Aslanov, the founder and head of the website xeberman.com, was arrested in June 2019 on charges of treason and sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment. Human rights activists declared him a political prisoner.-06B-
