Police Will Not Allow Natives of Lachin on the Alley of Martyrs
A group of IDPs from the Lachin region gathered in the morning on May 18 at the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the occupation of Lachin. However, the police prevent organizing visits to the Alley, claiming that due to the European Games, mass actions are prohibited. Turan was told by the protesters.
The Lachin district was occupied by Armenians on May 18, 1992 after the capture of the town of Shusha. As a result, the Armenians managed to open a land corridor between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh and completely expel Azerbaijanis from Karabakh. -06D-
