The decision of the Constitutional Court on the referendum on amendments to the Constitution, a new wave of house demolitions in Baku, the expected new wave of price hike, and substandard medicines are the themes of today's media.

The official newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the constitutional changes. The author believes that the changes to the Constitution will fully restore legality, legal and constitutional norms. The author also recalls that the last referendum on constitutional amendments was held in 2009.

Azadlig has published an article entitled Constitutional Court against Constitution about the positive conclusion of the Constitutional Court on the proposed changes. This gave start to legitimizing lawlessness.

The author sees this as disrespect for the fundamental law, as well as the aggression of the regime against the laws.

The fact that the Constitutional Court decided to hold the referendum means there is already no department in the country, to which people could appeal.

Echo has published an article entitled Azerbaijan in Anticipation of Rising Prices. Nariman Agayev says that in the near future the country will face a massive rise in price of goods and services due to changes in electricity tariffs.

Soon the prices of goods and services will increase 10%, because the costs of enterprises, factories and companies have increased.

Novoye Vremya has published an article entitled State Committee Announces New Demolitions, which refers to a pilot project for the demolition of thousands of homes and relocation of 30 thousand people. At the same time, around one million square meters of new housing will be built, said the chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning Abbas Alasgarov.

Previously, residents were given compensation of 1,500 AZN per square meter, but now after the devaluation in dollar terms, this amount is reduced by half.
