The role of Heydar and Ilham Aliyev in the conquest of the state independence, the decline in investment in the economy, low-quality gas and gas poisoning, and the high prices in medicine are the themes of today's media.

The Azerbaijan newspaper has published an article, which analyzes the national liberation struggle which began since the end of the 80s of the last century. The author focuses on the role of Heydar Aliyev, as a leader in the process of nation-building and the management of socio-political processes. He also recalled the idea of Azerbaijanism put forward by Heydar Aliyev.

The website Azadliq.info discusses the situation in the economy with the expert Nemat Aliyev. The expert says that over the past 2 years investment in the economy has seriously fallen - by 57% or 8.7 billion dollars. During the first 9 months of this year the amount of investments in the economy amounted to 6.5 billion dollars. The expert criticizes the Central Bank for its monetary policy, arbitrariness in budget execution, monopoly, corruption, and pressure on entrepreneurs.

Novoye Vremya writes about the growing number of deaths from carbon monoxide. Azerigaz should three times a month check the quality of the gas, but they do not. State agencies recognize that gas quality does not meet standards, and the situation is really serious.

Azerigaz and SOCAR have to repair the internal gas pipelines. The state allocates considerable funds for this purpose.
