Prosecutor demanded 11 years' imprisonment for former head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security apparatus
Baku/03.03.22/Turan: The case of former chief of apparatus of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security Ajdar Dzhabiyev, also known under the pseudonym of Ajdar Ol, is coming to an end in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes.
The day before the prosecutor proposed to sentence Dzhabiyev, accused of embezzlement of more than half a million manats and bribery, to 11 years of imprisonment.
In doing so, the prosecutor asked to take into account as a mitigating factor the compensation for damage caused to the state by Dzhabiyev.
Recall that Azhdar Dzhabiyev was arrested in February 2021, a few days after the arrest of former Minister of Labor and Social Security Salim Muslimov.
According to the State Security Service (SSS), Muslimov was charged under Articles 308.2 (abuse of power, resulting in serious consequences), 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 (bribery on a particularly large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Note that the Dzhabiyev's case was separated from the Muslimov's one and sent to court in December 2021.
The investigation into Muslimov's case is ongoing. -03B-
