Prosecutor Wants to Condemn Siraj Guliyev to 8 Years
Today at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes meeting on the case of the prisoner of conscience Siraj Kerimov, the prosecutor asked to condemn him for 8 years in prison.
The court hearing, which will hear the defense, will continue on March 16.
Siraj Kerimov is the son of the activist of the party Musavat Ragif Kerimli and the brother of the deputy chairman of the organization Faraj Kerimli, who is also under arrest on the same charge.
S. Kerimli was arrested on July 17, 2014 on charges of Article 234.4.3 (illegal purchase or possession of drugs on a large scale).
His brother Faraj Kerimli was arrested on July 23. After his arrest, he was elected vice-president of Musavat in absentia.
