Protest action of "Bolt" company drivers begins
Baku/13.04.23/Turan: Car drivers cooperating with the "Bolt" taxi company held a protest rally in front of its office on April 13.
They complained about low tariffs and low earnings. "How can there be such fares as 60-80- gapiks. Taxis have become cheaper than buses. The 9 km route costs only 2 manats 10 gapiks. You have to drive 200 km to earn 30-35 manats, and you have to pay for gasoline and spare parts. Everything has gone up in price. The cheapest engine oil costs 60 manats. Besides, the company withholds 20% commission from each trip," said one of the participants of the action.
Note that "Bolt" received representatives of the protesters, assuring that their demands would be brought to the attention of the head office abroad and prices would be adjusted.
This was reported by another participant of the action.
