Protester in Khoshbulag arrested for 30 days
Baku/06.05.23/Turan: A resident of Ganja, Anar Suleymanov, was arrested administratively for 30 days after he reported a beating to the Dashkesan region police.
On June 5, a group of residents of the village of Khoshbulag Dashkesan region reported that they were detained by the police. According to them, Khoshbulag residents were beaten, tortured, threatened with rape and dismissal of relatives if they did not stop grazing cattle and conducting agricultural work in the territories belonging to Beylar Eyubov (head of security of the head of state) and other officials.
An employee of the regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Eshgin Gasimov, told Turan that a resident of Ganja, "previously convicted" Suleymanov was invited to the Dashkesan region police department in connection with the dissemination of unfounded, biased, offensive statements about police officers in Tiktok.
"He again raised a fuss, committing illegal actions, disobeying the police officers who called him to order. In this regard, he was taken to the region police department, where a protocol was drawn up and the case materials were sent to court," Gasimov said.
In February 2021, the Prosecutor General's Office announced the arrest of the head of the municipal council of the village of Khoshbulag Rasim Allahverdiyev for taking bribes when selling land participants according to falsified documents. ---06B---
