Abundant precipitation also fell in Baku and Absheron, amounting to 98% of the monthly norm. The wind speed reached 15 meters. In Ganja and Neftchala, the wind speed reached 24 meters per second.
The air temperature has dropped by several degrees since August 16 and will remain at the same level for the near future.

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
