Responsibility for use of smartphones in army service is toughened
Baku/19.10.23/Turan: The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has warned servicemen against using smartphones on duty, dissemination of photos and videos related to the service in personal accounts in social networks. This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan dated 19 October.
Despite the fact that meetings were held with the personnel to explain the need to comply with the rules of information security and confidentiality, the facts of smartphone use by some military personnel were revealed.
The offenders were dismissed from the army for violating orders and instructions of the Ministry of Defence leadership. Serious disciplinary measures were taken against some of them.
Strict measures will continue to be taken against servicemen who grossly violate the rules of military ethics and information security.
Besudes, new proposals have been prepared to introduce relevant amendments to legislation regarding further tightening of rules on the use of smartphones by the military, the report said. -06В-
