Rovshan Janiyev’s Body Delivered to Lankaran by Mubariz Mansimov’s Aircraft – CNN Turk
Last night the southern Azerbaijani city of Lankaran received a charter flight from Istanbul with the body of the mafia boss Rovshan Janiyev (Lankaransky). At the airport, the body was met by thousands of people, chanting Allah Akbar!
The night before Lankaransky and his driver were shot dead in the Beshiktash district of Istanbul. The assailants managed to escape.
According to the TV channel, Janiyev’s body was delivered by a private jet of the famous Azerbaijani businessman, owner of Palmali Company, Mubariz Mansimov.
Around 11 pm on Friday janiyev was buried beside his father in the cemetery Kichik Bazaar. Local authorities and police took special security measures. The funeral was attended by thousands of local residents and people from the neighboring areas.
However, until now the Interior Ministry has not expressed an attitude to the murder of a citizen of Azerbaijan in Turkey and the presence of a false passport on him. Turkish authorities have also said nothing about what Janiyev wanted by Interpol was doing in the country. -16 / B03-
