Saleh Rustamov started a dry hunger strike
Baku/13.12.21/Turan: On the 38th day of the hunger strike activist Saleh Rustamov refused water, his lawyer Bahruz Bayramov said on Monday.
On December 13, he visited Rustamov at the Medical Institution of the Penitentiary Service.
According to the lawyer, the communication with Rustamov lasted 3-4 minutes.
“Saleh told me that he could no longer endure the pain and was going on a dry hunger strike so that his suffering would end,” said the lawyer.
He expressed concern for the life of Rustamov, since a dry hunger strike would cause a coma.
“I urged you not to give up water, but he said that his decision was firm and he started a dry hunger strike,” the lawyer said.
