The media reports about the allegedly ordered character of the checks in the University of Languages ?are not true. "This information is absurd," the Rector Samad Seyidov told Turan.

According to him, he appealed to the Chamber of Accounts for verification. "I had my doubts, so I applied to the Chamber of Accounts. The audit revealed certain facts and the criminal case on the basis of these facts is legitimate," said Seyidov.

In turn, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported that the results of audits of the Accounting Chamber caused a criminal case under Article 179.3.2 (embezzlement and misappropriation in a large scale), 308.1 (abuse of power), and 313 (neglect of official duty).

The report of the Prosecution also noted that during the inspection it was found that the financially responsible persons of the University improperly invoiced the teachers, assigning additional payment.
