Baku/19.07.22/Turan: Over the past day, 257 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Azerbaijan, 58 people have recovered, and four people died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the country.
This is the highest figure in the last two months.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 794,913 cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected, including 784,090 people who have recovered, 9,727 have died, and today the number of actively sick people is 1,096.
Over the past day, 3,648 tests for coronavirus have been carried out. --06B--

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
