Sharp weather deterioration is expected – increased wind, precipitation
Baku/23.09.22/Turan: Starting from the evening of September 23 and until the 26th, a period of unstable weather is expected on the territory of Azerbaijan with lapse of temperature by 10-12 degrees and increased wind and precipitation.
According to forecasters of the Ministry of Ecology, in Baku and on Absheron from the night of September 24, the north-western wind is expected to increase to 15-20 m/s and gusts up to 25-28 m/s.
At night and in the morning on September 25, wind gusts will reach 30-33 m/s, the National Hydrometeorology Service said in a statement.
On September 25, rains are expected on Absheron.
Air temperature will gradually drop by 10 degrees. So, on the 24th day it will be +23 +25°, and on September 25th +20 +22.
In the regions of the country, the wind strength will be 15-20 m/s, and in some places up to 28-33 m/s. Air temperature will drop by 8-12 degrees.
There is a possibility of rise in water level in the rivers, which will lead to short-term floods and mudflows on mountain rivers.
Owing to the deterioration of weather conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urged the population to take precautions. -05B06-
