Sister of J Hajiyev again appeals to the President of Azerbaijan
Baku / 04.05.18 / Turan: Amina Hajiyeva, the sister of the former chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Jahangir Hajiyev, appealed to President Ilham Aliyev with a request to stop the unfair treatment of the officials of the Ministry of Justice against their family. She noted that since September 15, 2017 she is not allowed to meet with her brother, who is being held in jail N13.
J.Hajiyev is also not allowed to meet any close relatives, and he is completely isolated.
A.Hajiyeva notes that there are no grounds for refusing meetings. At the same time, there are no answers to the appeals to the Justice Ministry and the Prosecutor General's Office in connection with the failure to provide any meetings with relatives of the Penitentiary Service of J.Hajiyev. The leadership of the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General's Office also refuses to meet with relatives of J.Hajiyev.
"In general, there is a lot of pressure on our family. My daughter was fired from work, I was banned from leaving the country, even the conclusion of ordinary notarial transactions turned into a problem for us. It went so far that after the death of my mother we do not even draw up documents for the transfer of inheritance," A.Hajiyeva wrote to the President of Azerbaijan.
But the biggest problem for the family is not granting permission to meet with J.Hajiyev.
This worries the family members even more because of his serious health problems.
Therefore, sister of J.Hajiyev asks the president to help to restore the family member's meetings with the former head of the IBA.
* In 2015, large financial irregularities were discovered in the IBA. The former head of the IBA, Jahangir Hajiyev, was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, but pleaded not guilty and stated that all major loans were allocated with the consent of the supervisory board. Along with him, former heads of several IBA affiliates were sentenced to imprisonment. -06B-
